El Borne district is, at the moment, where everyone in Barcelona wishes to live - the model of urban transformation success. Charming old streets paved with stones, restored historic buildings, luxury stores and bars, and streets full of fashionable people. The district sits between the historic Gothic church of Santa Maria del Mar, and the enormous covered market “Mercado del Borne,” where significant archaeological remains have recently been uncovered. The apartment is in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, on a famous street full of historic buildings and close to all of the interesting monuments in Barcelona. It's situated in the trendy neighborhood of El Born, with its artisan cafés and bars, clubs and restaurants, art galleries and museums - including the Picasso Museum, Textile Museum and even the Chocolate Museum.
The Cathedral of Barcelona is just a short walk away, as is the famous Placa Sant Jaume, home of the Catalan Government headquarters. A short five-minute walk will take you to Las Ramblas, where you can enjoy the variety of shops, cafes and attractions of Barcelona's most famous promenade.
